About Docie Invention & Patent Marketing

When Ron Docie started to promote his first invention in 1976, he did so under the business name, Docie Marketing. Docie Marketing’s primary business always has been the promotion of inventors and invention based companies. Docie Marketing incorporated in the State of Ohio in 1992 under the name, Hopewell Cooperative, Inc., named after the indigenous Indians of south central Ohio.

In 2001, Ron Docie, Sr. incorporated Docie Development, LLC, a limited liability corporation in the State of Ohio. The purpose of Docie Development is to handle all negotiation, commercialization and royalty income. At this point all activity under Docie Marketing is research and consultation oriented.

Docie Marketing and Docie Development’s sole business interests are, and always have been, to serve the best interest of inventors. Ron Docie, Sr. is founder and president of both of these businesses. Collectively the business support a staff of three to four, located in Athens, Ohio. Athens is the home of Ohio University, Mr. Docie’s alma mater. It is sixty miles southeast of Columbus, Ohio. The Docie invention companies like to limit their work to one or two dozen clients at any one time, and have maintained this policy in order to provide a more customized service.
